food Hello everyone, Communiteens has ended the year extremely well. I am glad to see a large impact by every chapter over the past month.
Communiteens - South Carolina, led by Tyler Crookes, worked hard with a couple of friends at a lacrosse tournament. He kept score and helped the organizers run the tournament. In addition, the South Carolina chapter has collected hundreds of toiletries for the past few months and will organize them into kits over the summer, where they will by given to a local homeless shelter. I am so glad to see 2 projects being done by this chapter and I know that more successful projects will be completed in the near future
In Communiteens - Weston and Davie news, the two chapters were finalists for two Hands on Broward Youth Impact Awards in the Team and Individual categories. The Award Ceremony was on 5/19/17 at JA Biztown, at an elegant dinner and ceremony, hosted by Hands on Broward . It was very nice to be honored at such an amazing ceremony. Communiteens - Davie will be finishing it's last project in early June, where they will go to a local pantry.
It has been an amazing year, full of excitement and growth. We are continuing to expand our organization and we plan to have several new chapters open in the next few months. I hope these chapters are just as successful as the ones we have now and I am so excited to see them expand!
