Over the past month, we have had several chapters across the United States complete events to help benefit their community! In addition, Communiteens and I have won awards!
Communiteens - Reno volunteered at Reno Earth Day, an event dedicated to bringing awareness of Earth Day and celebrate the Earth. They then worked at the Boys and Girls Nite Out, which helps connect people from across the Nevada Community to play games and win prizes. Lastely, they participated in sorting food at a local food bank. So much done in so little time and I am happy to see them make an impact on such a diverse group of people!! Communiteens - Parkland went to the Humane Society in Broward County to deliver collected items to the animals. Over the course of a couple of weeks, they collected items such as paper towels, wipes, Puperoni treats, and a lot of dog toys!! They went on a tour of the facility and played with puppies and kittens. "It was truly a great and worthwhile experience!!" said Rebecca, the co-chapter president of the chapter Communiteens - South Carolina did 2 Community service projects: they helped a lacrosse tournament recently and colleceted dry noodles for a school program called Echo. I am so happy to see all of our chapters continuing their impact on the community! I know that your events are making big changes in your respective communities. Lets keep the momentum going for next year!!!
