Communiteens - AHS has had a very successful start this school year. We have had several meetings since the beginning of the school year, even though the Hurricane prevented one of the meetings. We even hosted their first event! We collected items for Hurricane Irma through a school-wide event to help collect items for those affected by the Hurricane. We were very successful and I am excited to see the future progress of this club/chapter!

After South Florida was impacted by Hurricane Irma, a category 3 hurricane that directly hit Naples and Key West, many people were affected by the wind and rain in a negative way. People's homes were destroyed and power was lost for days on end. Communiteens has decided to help South Floridians who are negatively impacted by the storm.
Through LifeNet4Families, an organization that helps homeless individuals and family get food, we will be hosting a drive. Communiteens - Cooper City, AHS, and Davie will be collecting new Peanut Butter, Pasta, and Non-Perishable food throughout this week. If you are looking to impact your community by donating food, make sure to reach out to us. Contact me at 954-610-1571 or jared@communiteens.com to donate food items or contact me about any questions. |
